17-4 is a precipitation-hardening martensitic stainless steel used in applications requiring high strength and a modest level of corrosion resistance and toughness. Fast Lane has a lot of experience with this material. We have made several different 17-4 parts on all our machines, from the 5 axis mill down to our 12mm Swiss machine.
