Titanium is a lustrous transition metal with a silver color, low density and high strength. The two most useful properties of this metal are corrosion resistance and strength-to-density ratio, the highest of any metallic element. Titanium is used in many industries including aircraft, spacecraft, firearms, motorcycles, sports cars, bicycles, golf clubs, watches, dental implants, medical equipment to name a few. Fast lane has lots of experience machining this extraordinary and expensive metal. We have made several different titanium parts on all our machines, from the 5 axis mill down to our 12mm Swiss machine.
